<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for comparatively easily detecting the face position of a speaker holding a hand set and a device for always detecting the opening/closing state of lips when the speaker speaks in track of its moving, which are suited to a guiding service system. SOLUTION: A reflection element or a light-emitting element is added to a hand set 2 held by a speaker and the image of light from the element is picked up with the face. Then, an image pickup signal is given difference detecting processing to obtain an element light signal to detect the holding direction of the set 2 and the position/direction of the face is detected from the detected holding direction. As for light irradiation and image pickup of the lips of the speaker, the directions of an irradiating light source 5 and the image pickup element are driven in accordance with moving of the lips to be always capable of image pickup and observation of the lips and a reflected light image pickup signal by light irradiation to the lips is image-processed to detect the opening/closing state of the lips.</p> |
