PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a defogging function over a long period, by providing Ca- contained glass base material, a reflecting coat layer formed on the back of the base material, and a hydrophilic coat formed on the surface of the base material, and by not containing Ca at least in the outermost surface of the hydrophilic inorganic coat. SOLUTION: In this defogging mirror for a bathroom, Ca-containing glass base material, a reflecting cost layer formed on the back of the base material, and a hydrophilic coat formed on the surface of the base material are provided, and Ca is not contained at least in the outermost surface of the hydrophilic inorganic coat. By forming the hydrophilic coat on the surface of the base material, steam adhering to the surface of the base material does not remain in the waterdrop state but spreads rapidly in the water film state, to thereby show a defogging effect. Moreover, by applying a formation not containing Ca in the outermost surface, a dirt component inherent to a bathroom hardly adheres, to thereby keep a defogging property over a long period. The coat is preferably formed from an inorganic oxide, and thereby the coat excellent in wear resistance and a hot water resistance is obtained.
