PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the stricture of a drive part by eliminating the mechanism for making an ice detecting lever operate. SOLUTION: To provide a low-cost and small automatic ice making machine by enabling control of the movement of an ice tray without the ice detecting lever, when the ice in the ice box is more than the prescribed quantity, eliminating the need of the mechanism operating the ice detecting lever and simplifying the structure of the drive part, by structuring to stop ice relieving action which detects the disturbance of the rotation of an ice tray in the ice relieving action with the detecting means comprising the cam 49a of a clutch cam 49 and a switch, and setting the rotating ice tray to touch the ice when the ice in the ice box is more than the prescribed quantity.
