PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for coating an optical fiber, capable of easily inserting a plurality of optical fibers to a fiber inserting part, simultaneously coating a plurality of optical fibers and preventing the leakage of the coating solvent from the die. SOLUTION: This die has a die body consisting of a first die 12 and a second die 14 separatable from each other, a groove 4a is formed on at least one of joint surfaces of the first die 12 and the second die 14 for forming a fiber inserting part 4 capable of inserting a plurality of optical fibers 2 when the first die 12 and the second die 14 are joined, and a sheet valve 18 is mounted on at least one side of a lower part of the groove 4a to reserve the coating solvent 9.
