PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PHS communication system in which the power consumption of a relay base station without any public contract can be reduced. SOLUTION: A publicly connected relay base station 11-1 and publicly non- connected plural relay base stations 11-2, 11-3,... are f in a public waiting state for monitoring communication from a public base station in a normal time. When any call is issued from a center 1, the relay base stations 11-1, 11-2, 11-3,... are turned into a continuous waiting state, and a PHS slave station 13-6 is called from the center 1 through the relay base stations 11-1, 11-2, and 11-3. |
