PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent formation of a gap between a spherical gasket and a ring bulging portion supporting the spherical gasket due to distortion of the ring bulging portion by spring pressure applied from a rear portion spring supporting flange, in a spherical joint with the spherical gasket and a spherical cover which are closely contacted by the spring pressure. SOLUTION: A short pipe 6a is protruded to the inner peripheral side of a rear portion spring supporting flange 6 so as to be fitted into a material pipe of an exhaust pipe 2 formed with a ring bulging portion 4b, and abutted with a base portion of the ring bulging portion 4b. The exhaust pipe 2 is spread from inside for fixing a portion of the short pipe 6a by a caulking portion 2a. The upstream side of the caulking portion 2a is also spread in a tapered shape to make it serve as a unit portion of a plurality of small-diameter exhaust pipes. Since the short pipe 6a is abutted with the base portion of the ring bulging portion 4b, it is unlikely that the ring bulging portion 4b is distorted. |
