PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client server system and its control method, and a client terminal which eliminate the need for permanent connection and minimize necessary communication quantities. SOLUTION: In this client server system, the client terminal 20 is provided with a local proxy 22 and an application file storage DB (database) 23, and an automatic patrol program of the local proxy 22 automatically downloads an application registered in an application management DB 13 on the server, stores it in the application file storage DB 23, and specifies the settings of the proxy on the local proxy 22, so that a Web browser 21 can execute the application stored in the application file storage DB 23.
