PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make signal processing efficient by converting R, B digital signals converted into a luminance signal and a color difference signal, converting the output signal of a horizontal/vertical frequency conversion section into the component ratio of the luminance signal and the color difference signal suitable for a signal processing processor, receiving the output signal of a space conversion section and allowing a user to select a 1st or 2nd selection control signal. SOLUTION: A 2nd multiplexer 208 receives the output signal of a 2nd standard conversion section 207 and the output signal of a space conversion section 205, selects only one signal by using a 2nd selection control signal from a control section 209 and provides an output. That is, the 2nd selection control signal of the control section 209 converts the scanning system of an external input signal in a mode selected so as to process an external input signal and activates the 2nd multiplexer 208 so as to select an output signal of the space conversion section 205 when the scanning system has a doubled horizontal or vertical frequency. Thus, the signal can be processed independently of the standard of the external input signal.
