PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication apparatus capable of shortening the communication time of data and surely communicating the data. SOLUTION: The data communication apparatus is provided with a central control part 300, an operating part 109, a reading part 301, a print part 303, an address storage pat 307 for storing the address of the transmission destination, a memory part 309 for storing a control program or transmission/reception data, a communication control part 305 for transmitting/receiving data through an arbitrary line while being connected to plural lines and a data control part 311 for applying prescribed processing to the transmission/reception data. In this case, the data control part 311 encodes data to be transmitted, divides them by a prescribed method later and sends them to a communication control part 305. Besides, a plurality of prescribed encoded data received by the communication control part 305 are synthesized and decoded later. Therefore, the prescribed divided data can be parallel-transmitted or received.
