<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective brake device with simple structure for a bicycle or a wheelchair. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a brake drum 12 secured to a wheel 11, multiple divided shoes 13 with a detent formed with outward recessed parts 23, 24 at a radially outward part, a spring 20 between two adjacent divided shoes 13 for radially outwardly energizing the divided shoes 13, a working ring 14 surrounding multiple divided shoes 13 from the outside and comprising inward recessed parts 25, 26 inside forming counterparts to the outward recessed parts 23, 24, and a roller 15 placed in spaces 27, 28 formed by the inward recessed parts 25, 26 corresponding to the outward recessed parts 23, 24. In this case, a radius of each of spaces 27, 28 is gradually made smaller to a specified circumferential direction with referring to the center of the working ring 14 as a reference.</p> |
