PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of improving the quality of the generated smooth approximate curve by calculating a first function expressing a curve for smoothing and approximating the sequence of points, and converting the calculated first function to a second function with a curve length from one endpoint of a curve expressed with the first function as a parameter. SOLUTION: A parametric natural spline function for smoothing and approximating the sequence of measuring points is calculated (SP5). The parametric natural spline function is converted to an (s) parametric function with the curve length of a smoothed curve as a parameter (SP6). Noise removing processing for removing a noise component is applied to this (s) parametric function (SP7). At the same time, a B-spline function is calculated on the basis of the provided new (s) parametric function. The curve based on this B-spline function is displayed on a CRT as a curve smoothing and approximating an edge measured by a three-dimensional measuring instrument (SP8).
