PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet having physically dense (compact) characteristic and a highly uniform field in the imaging space. SOLUTION: A magnet 10 has a first assembly 14, including a superconducting main coil 16 and a magnetic member 18 capable of being magnetized at the same temperature as that of the main coil in operation. As an example, the main coil is surrounded by a Dewar vessel for ultra-low temperature liquid (for example, liquid helium). The Dewar vessel has an inner surface 24 defined partly by a surface part of the magnetic pole member. |
