PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip capacitor which can prevent break of a lead terminal by reducing a load on the lead terminal caused by vibration even if it is caused to a capacitor main body. SOLUTION: Supports 6a extending upward from an insulating board 6 abut on an outer peripheral side upper than the groove part 3a of a capacitor main body 2 and the length of an arm from the insulating board 6 is effectively gained. Thus, the capacitor main body 2 is securely supported by the support 6a and the swing of the capacitor main body 2 in a lateral direction can be suppressed. Thus, a load on a lead terminal 5 is reduced and the break of the lead terminal 5 can be prevented.
