PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube of a structure causing little leakage of a cooling liquid dlue to pinching of foreign maters. SOLUTION: This cathode-ray tube includes a cooling liquid retainer 10 attached to the body of the tube and filled with a cooling liquid in the internal space for cooling the front panel heated by an electron beam emitted by an electron gun, and a fastening tool 40 is inserted into an injection hole 14 for the cooling liquid provided in the retainer 10 through a sealing member 42 for preventing the cooling liquid from leaking. The fastening tool 40 is inserted into the injection hole 14 in a state of integrally coupled mechanically with the sealing member 42. The sealing member 42 has a large coupling area because it has a flat portion 42b and fringe 42c besides a sealing projection 42a to block the gap between the internal space and the outside, and the corner of the fastening tool is held fast by the fringe 42c to heighten mechanical strength of coupling.
