PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high performance liquid crystal display device reduced in size and having enhanced reliability. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal 4 is interposed between glass substrates 2 and 3 and sealed by a sealing member 5 to form a display region 6. Respective transparent electrodes 7, 8 in the display region 6 is extended to the non-display region 9 of the glass substrate 3, an IC 15 for driving is disposed on the non- display region 9, an electrode terminal 20 of the IC 15 is connected to a display electrode terminal 11 with a wire 21 and an electrode terminal 22 of the IC 15 is connected to an electrode terminal 23 on a circuit board 12 wit a wire 24 to obtain the objective liquid crystal display device 17.
