PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a mirror hardly affected by the change of humidity in a bathroom or by the function of gravity, and maintain stably a defogging effect for long hours, by arranging a water-holding material between a frame installed at least on the upper part, for fixing a mirror, and the mirror. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a mirror for a bathroom 1 capable of obtaining a defogging effect by poured water, a frame 2 installed on an upper part, for supporting and fixing the mirror for a bathroom 1 on a roughly vertical surface of a wall surface, and a frame 3 installed on a lower part. Especially the frame 2 installed on the upper part is not brought into direct contact with the mirror 1, but a water-holding material 4 is brought into contact with a mirror front surface part, and a spacer 5 or a water-stopping material 6 is brought into contact with a mirror upper end part back 1a to fix the mirror 1. When water is poured, a thin water film is formed on the front surface part of the mirror 1, and the water is absorbed and held in the water-holding material 4 placed between the front surface part of the mirror 1 and the frame 2. When the water film formed on the front surface part of the mirror 1 is evaporated from the upper end part of the mirror and dropped, the water is released from the water-holding material 4, to thereby stabilize a duration of the defogging effect.
