PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure inclination in two directions highly accurately and sensitively by hanging a weight from a holding member with a pair of distorting plates symmetrically aranged to the center axis on a plane passing through the cylindical center axis of the weight, and hanging the other weight from the holding member on the other distorting plate along a plane making square with the plane. SOLUTION: A pair of thin belt-like distorting plates 2A, 2B additionally provided with strain gages are arranged on both sides of the projecting part 1a of a holding member 1 on a first plane passing through the center axis symmetrically and in parallel. The respective one ends of the ditorting plates 2A, 2B are fixed to both ends of the projecting part 1a, and the respective other ends are combined with the upper end face of a hollow cylindrical weight 3. A thin belt-like distorting plate 4 is arranged under the extreme end face of the projecting part 1a on a second plane making square with the first plane, and it is also additionally provided with a strain gage. One end of the distorting plate 4 is fixed to the underside of the projecting part 1a, and the other end is combined with the upper end of a weight 5. The weights 3, 5 are respectively hung through the distorting plates 2A, 2B and 4. In this construction, the distorting plates 2A, 2B and 4 do not interfere with each other, and can be provided close to each other.
