PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip as thin as possible. SOLUTION: An arched plate spring 14 is attached between a seat 11 and a movable clip piece 12 and bent in an inverted arch by a projecting part 25 of the movable clip piece 12, the frontal edge of the movable clip piece 12 is energized by the force of restitution of plate spring 14 of the inverted arch to return to the original shape of the arch to be constantly pressed on the frontal edge part of the seat 11. Compared with conventional U-shaped plate spring or coil spring, a flat arched plate spring 14 is used, so the height H of the clip 10 is reduced as much as possible. The frontal end part of the plate spring 14 is locked to the back end part of the movable clip piece 12 and the back end part of the plate spring 14 is locked to the back end part of the seat 11 for attaching the plate spring 14, therefore the clip 10 can be inserted deeply in a material to be clipped like a breast pocket as far as the base part of an arm part 17 gets touched.
