PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a selection device to receive the information on the communication service and to download an automatic circuit selection program including the communication service in order to attain an automatic circuit selecting operation by transmitting the information on the communication service or an automatic circuit selection program including the selected communication service in response to a request of the selection device. SOLUTION: A service center device 30 is connected to a facsimile machine having an automatic circuit selection (ACR) function via a public circuit L. A main control part 101 of the device 30 receives a menu data request command from the facsimile machine and then reads the latest menu data including the desired selected service data out of a menu data memory 107a and transmits the menu data. When the part 101 receives a new service program request command, the part 101 receives the data on the menu number and then reads an ACR program including the relevant new service out of an ACR program memory 107b and transmits the program.
