PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an article carrying-out device of an automatic vending machine which can prevent an article from being hopped up and carried out. SOLUTION: A cam member 435 and a driving source are coupled by a coupling spring 436, so when a lock lever 438 projects upward from the top surface of an article rack, it abuts against the rear part of the foremost article, but this collision is reduced by the elasticity of the coupling spring 436. Further, the slope of a cam groove 439d for the lock lever is made gentle to slightly lower the upward rotating speed of the lock lever 438, thereby preventing the foremost article from being hopped up.
