PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a torque sensor employing a stator assembled of a plurality of parts in which torque detection accuracy is enhanced by enhancing temperature characteristics. SOLUTION: A magnetism collecting yoke 6 constituting the stator 5 of a torque sensor comprises a substantially tubular yoke 10 and two yoke rings 11 being press fitted in tubular supporting parts 10c formed at the opposite ends of the yoke 10 wherein a coil part 7 is positioned by means of the yoke rings 11 press fitted until abutting against a regulation plane 10d. A gap G is formed by the small diameter part 21 of the yoke rings 11 and an air gap part projecting to the outer circumferential side is formed by a groove 10e made in the inner circumferential surface of the yoke 10. Flux not passing through an abutting plane P but passing through the tubular supporting parts 10c to a press fit plane 20 must take a route detouring the gap G and the air gap part. Consequently, the flux passing through the press fit plane 20 subjected to a press fit load is reduced relatively.
