PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable touch sensor monitoring a clearance between a rotating body such as a rotor blade in a steam turbine or a gas turbine and a easing surrounding the rotating body, having no chance of damage, standing a long-term operation, and contributing to cost reduction. SOLUTION: This sensor can move through a casing 2, has a measuring rod 3 provided with a contact detecting part on one end opposing to a rotating body 1 in the easing, and a drive mechanism on the other end outside of the casing. The contact detecting part forms an electricity communication part when it is in contact with the rotating body, thereby obtaining a motion command from the drive mechanism. When the contact detecting part comes in contact with the rotating body to form the electricity communication part, a clearance between the measuring rod and the rotating body is checked, and simultaneously the measuring rod is moved as needed to maintain the contact between the measuring rod and the rotating body, thereby preventing a problem leading to a damage from occurring.
