PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a sliding bearing device in the prescribed position of a structure as a relative position relation between a sliding bearing body and a sliding plate is high-precisely and reliably held, in the sliding bearing device for base isolation consisting of the sliding bearing body to support the own weight of the structure and the sliding plate to having a slide surface slidably joined with the sliding bearing body. SOLUTION: A sliding plate 1 having a slide surface and a sliding bearing body 6 to support the own weight of a structure are slidably joined with each other. By arranging in a spanning state a plurality of pairs of two coupling members 15 and 16, making a pair, disposed in a manner to be formed such that a shape to intercouple coupling points therebetween forms a triangular shape, between the sliding plate 1 side and the sliding bearing body 6 side, the sliding bearing device is installed in the given position of the structure as a relative position relation therebetween is held.
