Device has a collector (26) which receives any water flowing from a leak in an associated pipe (14, 16, 18), a leak sensor and a drain to lead the water away. The device has two siphons (24, 44) with the first connected to the collector and the second below connected to the outlet of the first. The second has a non-return valve (66) and a connection to an emergency overflow pipe (64).
