METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPROVED ACCESS TO NONRELATIONAL DATABASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility and efficiency of access to a database by including a store place data access layer(SPDAL) which is coupled with a server and one nonrelational data source and provides a relation function for the one nonrelational data source. SOLUTION: SPDAL architecture 300 includes an SPDAL open database connectivity application program interface(SPDAL ODBC API) 302 which functions together with DataJoiner304. The SPDAL ODBC API302 operates together with Generic Access API306 of the DataJoiner304 to provide a single access point for different-kind data source operation. An ODBC driver 308 is generated which functions together with the SPDAL ODBC API302 for accessing a nonrelational data source 316, etc.
