PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a park lock device for a vehicle equipped with a parallel shaft type gear transmission having a park lock function without widely varying a transmission. SOLUTION: This park lock device for a vehicle equipped with a parallel shaft type gear transmission comprises a main shaft reverse gear 824 mounted on a main shaft, a counter shaft reverse gear 835 mounted on a counter shaft; a reverse idle gear 841 selectively worked and engaged with a main shaft reverse gear slidably disposed on a reverse idler shaft, and a lock gear 85 selectively worked and engaged with the reverse idle gear 841 disposed at a transmission case. The reverse idle gear is constituted movably to a neutral position, a reversed position where the idle gear is worked and engaged with the main shaft reverse gear and the counter shaft reverse gear, and a parking position wherein the idle gear is engaged with at least the main shaft reverse gear 824 and the lock gear.
