PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a defogging function over a long period, by containing Sn, and by forming a reflecting coat layer on the back side of glass base material having more Sn quantity on the surface side than the Sn quantity on the back side, and by forming a hydrophilic inorganic coat on the surface side. SOLUTION: In this defogging mirror for a bathroom, Sn is contained, and a reflecting coat layer is formed on the back side of glass base material having more Sn quantity on the surface side than the Sn quantity on the back side, and a hydrophilic inorganic coat is formed on the surface side. Moreover, flaws on the surface are removed and transparency and a defogging function are improved, by containing Ca and Sn, and by forming the reflecting coat layer on the back side of the glass base material having more Sn quantity on the surface side than the Sn quantity on the back side, and by forming the coat on the surface side. By forming the hydrophilic inorganic coat on the surface of the base material, steam adhering to the surface of the base material does not remain in the waterdrop state but spreads rapidly in the water film state, to thereby show a defogging effect. If the coat is formed from an inorganic oxide, the coast excellent in a wear resistance and a hot water resistance can be obtained.
