PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially completely remove dust stuck to a surface of a roller for a short time by injecting washing liquid including an abrasive material together with compressed air on a surface of the roller having elasticity and beating the abrasive material on dust stuck to the roller. SOLUTION: When a roller 1 is rotated at constant speed, washing liquid 5 is forcibly injected from a nozzle 3a of a washing gun 3 and the washing gun 3 is reciprocatingly moved in a shaft direction of the roller 1, polisher, cut chips and dust stuck to the surface of the roller 1 are peeled by an abrasive material, are washed away by washing liquid and are removed. Because a shaft line of the washing gun 3 is deviated to the front, that is, an outer peripheral part side from a center of the roller 1 at the time of washing, the roller 1 is rotated counterclockwise and washing liquid 5 is injected toward the upward rotation side, a peeling effect for dust is remarkable, relative speed when washing liquid 5 collides against the surface of the roller 1 is also increased and dust is effectively removed.
