Climbing and descending aid for use when working in e.g. underground shafts

The climbing aid comprises a three-support construction and a securing cable. Two grip poles (1,2) are connected together by a rotary joint (3) at one end and at their other ends are provided with clamp elements (4) for attaching to a main pole (5). The main pole supports a cable while can be lowered down the shaft, in turn supporting a person.
