<p>The present invention provides a cosmetic composition, which comprises an agent that is capable of reacting with water to cause a change in the temperature of the composition, a thermochromic substance and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. When applied to the skin, the composition extracts moisture or is wetted causing the agent to react thereby changing the temperature of the composition. The change in temperature induces the thermochromic substance to impart a different colour to the composition. A user is thereby notified by this sensorial signal that the cosmetic composition has completed its intended treatment and/or brought about a change in the condition of the skin.</p> |
