According to the inventive method, a signaling connection between a base station (BS) and a subscriber station (MS) of a radio communication system is established by transmitting in a first signaling channel (RACH) a signaling information (si) regarding a channel request from the subscriber station to the base station. The base station evaluates the received signaling information and transmits at least one identification information (ii) with respect to the address of a subscriber station to the subscriber station in a second signaling channel (AGCH). The identification information is subdivided into several segments that are sequentially evaluated by the subscriber station. Evaluation is terminated if a segment is found that is addressed to a different subscriber station. |
