PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure force (biting force) being applied to a force point even if a distance from a support to the force point differs by providing a strain gauge or the like for converting the amount of travel of a movable member that travels in the direction of a received pressure to an electrical signal. SOLUTION: When an animal bites sensing parts 31 and 32, the position of a fixing member 30 does not change and a movable member 20 is translated in the direction of a Z axis. More specifically, a gap 62 is narrowed while the bottom surface of the movable member 20 is in parallel with the upper surface of the fixing member 30 since leaf springs 52 and 52 have characteristics of deflecting in the direction of thickness. The movable member 20 is translated in the direction of Z without generating any bending moment. Then, the distortion of a position 64a that becomes the lower-surface corner part of the movable member 20 and a position 64b that becomes the lower-surface corner part of a fixation member 40 reaches the highest. Since the strain gauges 58a and 58b are mounted at the positions 64a and 64b with the high distortion, the amount of travel of the movable member 20 is efficiently converted to an electrical signal, thus performing conversion processing to force (biting force) loaded by a computer.
