PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a non-activity gas inlet device, remove oxygen in piping before brazing, and facilitate determining by appearance whether oxygen is removed or not before brazing. SOLUTION: Pipes 1 and 2 to be connected to each other are each provided with a deoxidization unit. The deoxidization unit is provided with at least one deoxidization container 8 which houses an oxidizable material 10 therein outside the pipes 1 and 2 and holes 12 communicating therewith. The deoxidization container 8 is provided therein with a heat transfer material 11 for transferring heat from outside to the oxidizable material 10 and a filter 9 provided near the holes 12 for preventing the oxidizable material 10 from flowing into the pipes, and the pipes 1 and 2 are covered at the outer peripheries thereof with a heat insulating material 13 for blocking heat transference in the deoxidization container 8. The oxidizable material 10 is heated and burned to suck oxygen in the pipes 1 and 2 therein through the holes 12, consume it and then remove it.
