PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of working man-hours for a piston part and to reduce cost. SOLUTION: In a fuel supply pump 1A leading fuel supplied from a low pressure pump out to an injector by high pressure, a pump chamber 13 communicated with an introducing passage 14 and a lead-out passage 15 of fuel, a plunger 3A which is abutted on a cam 5 rotated and driven by an engine output and is reciprocatingly driven and a sleeve 7 guiding a side surface of the plunger 3A in a shaft direction are provided. The plunger 3A is formed by integrally constituted ceramic, has a sliding part 31 abutted on a cam on an end face and has a pump chamber formed at the other end.
