METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CULTURING MICROORGANISMS

The method and apparatus for culturing micro-organisms is disclosed. The apparatus (1) is a container or tank (2) utilised for the culture of micro-organisms. The container may or may not have a core (8) fitted within. The container is fitted with a pumping device or devices (4) and pipes to aerate and move the culture fluid (7) contained within the apparatus or to supply or remove fluids from the apparatus. Water, nutrient and micro-organisms are mixed within the apparatus and cultured to produce a pesticide or larvicide for use in control of mosquitoes and other arthropod pests. The fluid when deemed satisfactory is then applied to the target pest or habitat it resides in by chosen application method as is herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings (fig 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, 3b, 4).
