<p>The invention concerns a device for stereotactic radiotherapy by volume irradiation of a lesion in the region of the head and neck, comprising a radiation source suited for treatment, a teletherapy head (7) provided with collimating means to form a beam of said radiation and direct it on the zone being treated, means for pivoting said head whereof the pivoting axis (h) intersects the axis (f) of said beam and about which said beam moves in a plane, a retention support (2) for the patient's head to make said brain injury coincide with the intersection between said pivoting axis (h) and the axis (f) of said beam. Said pivoting means are kinematically integral with the guiding means (4, 4', 14, 15, 14', 15') defining a second circular trajectory centred about the second axis (s) intersecting said pivoting axis (h) at its intersection with the axis (f) of said beam and constituting the isocentre of the device.</p> |
