<p>This invention is an ultrasound transducer device (10) used for continuous imaging of the heart (and other body organs), and comprehensive evaluation of left ventricular wall motion. The device consists of a hemispherical transducer assembly (21, 23) which is attached to the body surface of the patient by an adhesive patch (20). The transducer permits sequential imaging of two orthogonal views of the heart by mechanical rotation of the transducer or with the use of two arrays arranged perpendicular to each other.</p> |
