<p>The present invention relates to polypeptide fragments derived from porcine endogenous retrovirus (PoERV) GAG and ENV polypeptides, and to their use in detection of PoERV antibodies in a test sample. Also provided are antibodies to GAG and ENV polypeptides, which may be used to detect PoERV in a sample. Polypeptide sequences are provided which are common to several strains of PoERV, as are sequences specific to a single PoERV strain.</p> |
