In first angular position of a pedal lever (3), a sensor is adjusted so that it delivers a first predetermined setting signal. A second angular position of the pedal lever is adjusted so that the signal delivered by the sensor corresponds to a second setting signal. The adjustment with respect to the first setting signal is performed by pivoting the sensor about an axis of rotation of a sensor lever. The adjustment with respect to the second setting signal is performed using an adjustable limit stop arranged between the pedal lever and a holding structure (2).
