The rotary machine can serve as a combustion engine and energy store. The rotor (1) and compressor (22) both rotate, so there is no static enclosing casing. The components are circular so there is no eccentricity. The moment arms for the torque can be long and internal friction is reduced to a minimum. A simple movement of the regulator switches the machine from one state to the other.
