Apparatus to release adsorbed macro molecules in an electrical process is new. Apparatus to release adsorbed macro molecules in an electrical process has an upper plate (2) with holes (4) and a base plate (1) with a corresponding number of holes (3). The upper holes (4) are covered by a semi-permeable membrane between the plates when they are assembled together. The upper holes (4) through the upper plate (2) have a larger upper opening (5) than the lower opening (6), and the passage holes (4) are divided into larger (18) and smaller (17) Bars (8) project from the under surface of the upper plate (2), around the lower openings (6) of the passage holes (4), to fit accurately into the lower holes (3) at the base plate (1), together with a semi-permeable membrane. The holes in the upper plate (2) have a funnel-shape cross section. Bars (7) project around the upper openings (5) of the holes (4) through the upper plate (2). The holes (3,4) through the plates have an elongated shape along the plate planes. The holes (4,3) in the upper (2) and base (1) plates are of different dimensions, arranged next to each other in neighboring rows. The assembly has two electrodes to give a voltage difference. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) is included for a semi-dry blotter and stencils in a kit to stamp out gel portions of exact dimensions to fit precisely into the larger chambers (18) of the upper passage holes (4); and (b) a technique to release macro molecules from gel materials, where a semi-permeable membrane is fitted between the upper plate (2) and the base plate (1), to seal the lower openings (6) of the passage holes (4) through the upper plate (2). The upper holes are filled with an eluent buffer, and the gel portions containing the macro molecules are placed in the larger chambers (18) at the upper plate (2). The macro molecules are released from the gel by a voltage difference between the electrodes, to disperse into the eluent buffer. The volume of released molecules is smaller than the volume of the gel portions. Preferred Features: A variable number of upper holes (4) is used for the process.
