The device has a measurement probe (2) for simultaneous measurement of at least two sound pressure signals at the location of the measurement probe, a data acquisition and processing unit, a positioning unit (3) permitting reproducible positioning of the measurement probe and a measurement element, with which the perpendicular distance of the measurement probe to the surface (4) of the object (1) and the surface speed of this sub-region of the surface of the object can be determined. An Independent claim is also included for a method of determining position-resolved sound power at surface of stimulable measurement object suitable for generating acoustic oscillations.
