The valve has a chamber (21) connected to a pressurised source of fuel by a tube (2) and containing an actuator (10) held against a seat (5) by an adjustable spring (14). The pressure of the spring is controlled by threaded cap (17) which screws onto the valve housing (4). The housing has a throttling hole (7) linked to the fuel return pipe (8), controlling the amount of fuel going to the engine in accordance with the load on it.
