Bit omission method for bit-rate matching in mobile communication system by calculating bit displacement values in each column of virtual interleaving pattern

The method involves performing a channel coding for bits in a transport channel and outputting one or more channel-coded sequences. A first interleaving pattern is created based on a symbol unit for each channel-coded sequence. A virtual interleaving pattern is created for each channel-coded sequence, taking account of a mapping rule to the first interleaving pattern. Different bit displacement values are calculated in each column of the virtual interleaving pattern for each virtually interleaved sequence, and the position of a bit to be omitted is determined. An Independent claim is included for a sequence repetition method for rate matching in an uplink of a mobile communications system.
