The device has a sensor bearer (1) with a plate element (8) connected to a base bearer (2) and a measurement element mounted in the flowing medium. The sensor bearer also has a plastic element that at least largely covers the plate element. The plate element is in the form of a frame fully or partly enclosed by a plastic element. An Independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a device for measuring the mass of a flowing medium.
