The key ring consists of a rigid frame (12) around a central opening (14). A split (16) in one side of the frame allows the sections of the frame on either side of the gap (12a, 12b) to be moved apart or sideways by pressure of the thumb. An Independent claim is included for a key hanger comprising a central plate with holes at each end on to which key rings as described above are fitted.
