METHOD FOR PRODUCING FINE PARTICULATE ACRYL EMULSION HAVING REVERSE CORE/SHELL STRUCTURE, AND COATING COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are a method for producing fine particulate acryl emulsion having reverse core/shell structure, which does not contain a dispersing agent and an emulsifier, and a coating composition comprising the same. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) solution polymerizing carboxylic acid monomer having unsaturated double bond with vinyl monomer to form a copolymer; (ii) completely or partially neutralizing the copolymer with neutralizer and removing a solvent from the neutralized copolymer to form a water-soluble vinyl polymer; and (iii) further polymerizing the carboxylic acid monomer having unsaturated double bond using the water-soluble vinyl polymer as dispersing agent(stabilizer) and useful initiators. The coating composition comprises the acryl emulsion resin, pigment, antifoaming agent and conventional coating additives.
