A gas turbine blade (1) oriented along a blade axis (2), has an outer wall enclosing a cavity (20), a suction face (10) and a pressure-face (8), the outer wall having an inner face bordering on the cavity. A cooling fin (30) mainly aligned along the blade axis (2) has a first narrow side and a second narrow side, with the first narrow side arranged on the inner face where the second narrow side stands freely upright in the cavity (20).
