The pharmaceutical use of novel compounds of formula I: <CHEM> where Z is a structure of formula <CHEM> A-B is -C=CH- or -C(R<5>)-CH2-; X is S or NR<4>; R<1> is H, halo, formyl, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, thienylmethyloxy, 4,5-dihydrothiazol-2-yl, cyano, nitro, carboxamido, trifluoromethyl or hydroxy; R<2> is H or halo; R<3> is H, C1-C4 alkyl, (C1-C4 alkylene)-aryl, or -CH2-Y-NR<7>R<8>; R<4> is H, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C5 acyl, or phenylsulfonyl; R<5> is H or OH; R<6> is H or methyl; Y is -CH2- or -C(O)-; R<7> is pyridinyl; and R<8> is H or -C(O)-(C3-C6 cycloalkyl); and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. |
