PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine cellular polyester film which is excellent in whiteness and is capable of providing a good image quality when used as a material to which an image is transferred, by the use of a relatively small amount of a fluorescent brightener. SOLUTION: A fine cellular polyester film contains 2-30 wt.% of a thermoplastic resin incompatible with polyesters and has an apparent density of 0.60-1.35 g/cm3, wherein the content of a fluorescent brightener in the film is 0.3 wt.% or less and the Hunter whiteness is 83 or more. The film preferably contains 1-10,000 ppm of an antioxidant.
